Living Histories Project

In 2018, I started volunteering with Hospice patients, interviewing them, and creating short films about their lives. I learned a lot about people, history, and filmmaking. Below are links to two of my favorite subjects, Tina and Dell
"Tina's Story" is very meaningful to me. I became very close to Tina. Her story is an important part of history and I knew it had to be told correctly.  Dell's story was very important to his family but "Tina's Story" needed to be shared with many people. I did not want it to be forgotten. I edited hours of footage down to create this 5-minute film about her life during the war.  I hope it captured her bravery and enduringly hopeful spirit. "Tina's Story" went on to be shown at many festivals including the LA Holocaust Museums "Voices of Hope" Festival and it won a few awards like the Best HS Film at the Ogeechee International History Film Festival.
